E-Zone Master Plan
This is an impressive set of documents, which makes it all the sadder that so little has been made of this wealth of information and ambition. Did you know that there is a "Daytona Beach style" that is supposed to characterize all our public space development? This package adds to the confusion about the ready approval of variance requests, when we have such a clearly presented rationale for just saying 'no'. There are two ways to think about this plan: 1) Our public officials should be required to understand this plan inside-out and it should define everything that happens to cater to the tourist sector of our economy or 2) This plan has stifled small scale development for far too long and should be dismissed for another approach.
